To celebrate the importance of the denim jacket and matching range as a House classic, BARRIE has chosen to showcase a capsule collection featuring the four iconic jacket shapes – regular, fitted, oversized and cropped – along with an overshirt, flared pants, mini and long skirts and matching shorts in a selection of four bespoke shades, to personnalise or not. The classic black and blue tones are intended to reflect the most emblematic shades of the denim wardrobe, from a raw indigo to a softer stone-washed or bleached version

BARRIE launches a new custom tag, to be placed on the jackets, skirts and trousers from the Denim Collection. Made in BARRIE’s new suede-effect cashmere and cotton blend in a tan colour reminiscent of a classic jean tag, it allows personalization with two or three initials, available in two fonts and three colours.

The denim range is also the ideal showcase for the BARRIE savoir-faire: the individual details of each garment – stitching, distressed areas… – are not embroidered in a separate process but knitted into the actual design, which is assembled and finished by hand with the requisite stud buttons. Each jacket requires around 9 hours of work, involving 9 different processes, perfected by the BARRIE manufacture in Hawick, Scotland.
The colour palette also requires particular skill, combining one of the custom-coloured highest quality cashmere threads with a cotton thread, to achieve the desired shade and texture.
Creating each denim piece requires the combined expertise of the BARRIE studio and manufacture to achieve the desired weight and fall of a knitwear piece, which hangs very differently to the original denim
